Dr. Ida Betty Odinga is a prominent entrepreneur, activist and educator
She founded the League of Kenyan women voters in 1991which promotes opportunities for women in the political arena. She served as the Chairperson of the League.
She has championed a host of other causes mainly focused on women, children and health. She has advocated for the prevention of breast Cancer and fistula and eradication of chigoes flea.
She has mentored many Kenya school girls and sat on the board of directors of an organization which aids paraplegics.
She became the Managing Director of Spectre East Africa Limited, a liquefied gas cylinder manufacturing company, becoming one of the first women to head a major Kenyan Corporation.
She was conferred The Order of the Golden Heart of Kenya, 2nd Class, Elder of the Golden Heart (EGH)
